Our mahi manaaki whānau is building resilience and connection to community for those who whakapapa to Mahia, and those who call it home.

Manaaki whānau is a broad brief which sees our kaimahi in diverse projects from Kai as Koha and firewood deliveries to covid support.

A priority for the Iwi is improving access to healthy homes. The manaaki whānau team work in partnership with DHB and MSD to provide wrap-around services to whānau in greatest need.

Long-term Rongomaiwahine Iwi Trust aims to support pathways to home ownership assist whānau through the papakainga journey.

Tangata ako ana i te kainga, te turanga ki te marae tau ana - A person nurtured in the community contributes strongly to society.
