Position: He Poutama Rangatahi Kaimahi
Location: Māhia
Type: Full-Time
He Rau Ringa is a dedicated programme targeting Rangatahi in Māhia who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET) between the ages of 16-24. We also focus on young sole mothers aged 21-24, providing the support they need to realise their full potential and avoid ongoing unemployment.
The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate person to work alongside our current He Poutama Rangatahi Kaimahi. This role involves engaging and supporting our Rangatahi and young mothers, developing personalised development plans, and building strong community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and support NEET youth and young sole mothers.
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.
- Track and report on participants' progress and programme effectiveness.
- Manage programme budget and resources efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Capacity for independent work,
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- An active full driver's licence.
- Experience working with NEET youth and/or young sole mothers.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by rangatahi and young mothers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
